The Way of Life

Following God as a "way of life" means that there is no realm or sphere of life that lies outside God's love and justice - including money, and how we use it.

How we use money matters! Our credit cards and checkbooks tell us where our priorities and passions truly are. And what's exciting is this: God calls us to think about money spiritually, so that "who we are" and "how we spend" can come more closely into balance, and so into a truly Christian "way of life."

We all have indulgences - expenses we can cut when belt-tightening is required. Perhaps it's a daily gourmet coffee, eating out, driving too much, cranking up the heat, or using inefficient fixtures. The question then is this: what can we "give up" in order to enter into this beautiful "way of life?"

In the spirit of Christian discipleship, we challenge everyone to "Give it up for Hope!" sharing their time, talent and treasure so that together, we might help to build God's kingdom on earth as it already is in heaven.
